Our flagship app, Planet Patrol, is designed to bring together like minded people who are passionate about protecting our planet. Our network of global volunteers gather data on a number of environmental issues anytime and anywhere all over the world, building powerful evidence that would otherwise be impossible to capture. This allows us to challenge, inform, and help solve major environmental issues using hard facts – not guesswork.
To build the biggest and most scientifically robust repository of environmental data to create meaningful change from both the top down and the bottom up.Â
Do you want to join a game changing, award-winning non profit in the fight to protect our planet? Are you looking for a chance to make a real difference? Planet Patrol is searching for a talented Content Manager to own all things content in our growing team. This is a full-time role based remotely (we are and have always been remote-first).
You’ll combine your expertise in copy and creative flair with your talent for content to deliver a bold, creative and powerful engagement strategy to both our growing audience base and potential new supporters. You’ll be able to ideate and produce engaging, on-brand content to sit across our channels and platforms and will understand the nuances of social media and importance of tone of voice.Â
You should be curious and renowned for pushing content boundaries. You’ll bring your experience of owning and delivering end-to-end creative content campaigns to Planet Patrol, and help us define ourselves in the environmental sector. Excellent copywriting is an essential skill for this role, as is attention to detail (show us you’re paying attention now and tell us your favourite environmental documentary in your cover letter).
You should have a portfolio that you’re proud of that demonstrates both creative thinking and the delivery of effective and innovative multi-channel content campaigns. You’ll have excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to project manage and deliver against deadlines.
As a small, fast paced team, culture is super important to us, so you will need to maintain close relationships with the team, and be an all-round team player who is committed to the cause.Â
On any day you could be working on a different project. You could be creating compelling copy for the Planet Patrol website, shooting a video of volunteers for a social media campaign, curating a push notification for litter picking, or reacting to a tik tok audio trend…. wherever there is content that needs to shine, you’ll roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
While this role does not have any direct reports, there will be room to step up as the marketing team grows.
